DESCRIPTION:COURSE OVERVIEW\n\nThis course provides students with an update on current best practice\nfor permit receiver and an opportunity to demonstrate continued\ncompetency in completion of permits. \n\n \n\nCOURSE STRUCTURE\n\nThe course is a combination of theoretical and practical sessions.\nStudents are assessed continuously during the course. \n\n \n\nLEARNING OUTCOMES\n\nAt the end of this course students will be able to:\n\n 	* Demonstrate current knowledge of a PTW system.\n 	* Carry out two permits in compliance with organisational\nrequirements\n\n \n\nCOURSE PREREQUISITES\n\nCurrent Unit Standard US17588 or a documented equivalent that is\ndeemed acceptable by Wood Training.\n\n \n\nASSESSMENT PROCESS\n\nTheory assessment followed by practical assessment which takes place\nwhen the student is ready/has shown that they can perform all tasks\nrequired. The practical involves completion of two permits signed off\nby the assessor on the training day.\n\n \n\nCERTIFICATION\n\nA Permit to Work Refresher certificate will be issued on successful\ncompletion of all assessment requirements.  \n\n \n\nREVALIDATION/REFRESHER\n\nTo maintain current competency, it is recommended that refresher\ntraining occurs regularly. Depending on the industry you work in this\nmay vary. Current Wood Training recommendation is every three years.\n\n \n\nITEMS TO BRING\n\n 	* Photo ID.\n 	* Appropriate streetwear can be worn.\n 	* You may bring two completed CPTW permits or complete on the\ntraining day. \n\n \n\nHEALTH  \n\nA basic level of fitness is required.  \n\n \n\nELIGIBILITY\n\nStudents eligible to study with Wood Training are:\n\n 	* Permanent Residents,\n 	* Australian Citizens, or\n 	* Holders of work-visas who are required to undertake training by\ntheir employer.\n\nProof of eligibility is required.
