DESCRIPTION:COURSE OVERVIEW\n\nThis course provides students with an understanding of the roles and\nresponsibilities of a fire and emergency warden in accordance with\nlegal requirements, as well as factors involved in the safe evacuation\nof a workplace or site in an emergency.\n\n \n\nCOURSE STRUCTURE\n\nThis course consists of online learning modules that you work through\nat your own pace. At the very end of the course there are summative\nassessment tasks. \n\n \n\nAfter you contact Wood Training, we will send you a confirmation email\nwith a link to the course and a self-enrolment key.  You will be\nprompted in the system to set up a profile, with information that we\nneed for your enrolment.\n\n \n\nLEARNING OUTCOMES\n\nAt the end of this course students will be able to:\n\n 	* Demonstrate knowledge of evacuation requirements for a particular\nworkplace or site.\n 	* Explain the duties of a Fire and Emergency Warden.\n\n \n\nCERTIFICATION\n\nAfter successful completion of the online course you will be issued\nwith an electronic badge.  Before we can issue you with a formal Fire\nWarden in the workplace Certificate, you will need to contact Wood\nTraining with proof of identity.\n\n \n\nREVALIDATION/REFRESHER\n\nTo maintain current competency, it is recommended that refresher\ntraining occurs regularly.  Depending on the industry you work in\nthis may vary. Current Wood Training recommendation is every two\nyears.\n\n \n\nTHINGS YOU NEED \n\n 	* Access to a computer and stable internet.\n 	* An email address.\n\n \n\nELIGIBILITY\n\nStudents eligible to study with Wood Training are:\n\n 	* Permanent Residents,\n 	* Australian Citizens, or\n 	* Holders of work-visas who are required to undertake training by\ntheir employer.\n\nProof of eligibility is required.
