DESCRIPTION:COURSE OVERVIEW\n\nThis course is suitable for all workers who require the basic\nunderstanding of manual handling of materials, goods, products and\nequipment in the workplace. \n\n \n\nCOURSE STRUCTURE\n\nThe course is available online only.\n\nAfter you contact Wood Training, we will send you a confirmation email\nwith a self-enrolment key.  \n\nYou will be sent a link to access your course with this self-enrolment\nkey.  You will be prompted in the system to set up a profile, with\ninformation that we need for your enrolment.\n\n \n\nLEARNING OUTCOMES\n\nAt the end of this course students will be able to:\n\n 	*\ndemonstrate knowledge of type of manual handling, body movement risks\nand workplace situations that could result in injury.\n\n 	*\n \n\n \ndemonstrate knowledge of legal requirements under WorkSafe NZ and\nHealth and Safety legislation\n 	*\nidentify the principles of safe manual handling practices.\n\n \n\nASSESSMENT PROCESS\n\nThis course consists of online learning modules that you work through\nat your own pace, and a short quiz.\n\n \n\nCERTIFICATION\n\nAfter successful completion of the online course, you will be issued\nwith an electronic badge.  Before we can issue you with a formal\nManual Handling Awareness Certificate, you will need to contact Wood\nTraining with proof of identity. \n\n \n\nTHINGS YOU NEED \n\n 	* Access to a computer and stable internet.\n 	* An email address.\n\n \n\nELIGIBILITY\n\nStudents eligible to study with Wood Training are:\n\n 	* Permanent Residents,\n 	* Australian Citizens, or\n 	* Holders of work-visas who are required to undertake training by\ntheir employer.\n\nProof of eligibility is required.
