Course overview
This course is suitable for people completing basic work at heights over a range of industry sectors e.g. working on roofs, scaffolding, or operating elevated work platforms. It is an introduction to working at heights and for those who are either new to an industry or do have prior experience.
It provides students with knowledge of hazards associated with height work and the skills to be able to conduct pre-use checks and use and maintain harnesses and lanyards. The importance of having rescue plans and recovery methods in place prior to work activity is emphasised.
Course structure
The course is a combination of theoretical and practical sessions. Students are assessed continuously during the course.
