Course overview
This course provides students with an update on good practice for confined space and opportunity to demonstrate continued competency in planning for confined space entry.
Course structure
This course consists of online learning modules that you work through at your own pace. At the very end of the course there are summative assessment tasks and a requirement to complete an attestation that is signed by your workplace supervisor. If you are unable to fulfill the attestation requirement contact us.
After you contact Wood Training, we will send you a confirmation email with a link to the course and a self-enrolment key. You will be prompted in the system to set up a profile, with information that we need for your enrolment.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to demonstrate current knowledge of:
- Confined space hazards.
- Exposure limits.
- Key role responsibilities.
- Emergency planning.
- Confined space entry documentation.
Course prerequisites
Student must already hold Unit Standard 18426 and 17599 or a documented equivalent that is deemed acceptable by Wood Training.
Certification
After successful completion of the online course you will be issued with an electronic badge. Before we can issue you with a formal Plan a Confined Space Refresher Certificate you will be asked to contact Wood Training with proof of identity.
Revalidation/Refresher
To maintain current competency, it is recommended that refresher training occurs regularly. Depending on the industry you work in this may vary. Current Wood Training recommendation is every two years.

- An email address.
Eligibility
Students eligible to study with Wood Training are:
- Permanent Residents,
- Australian Citizens, or
- Holders of work-visas who are required to undertake training by their employer.
