Course overview
This online course provides the student with a good overview of the risks, and the controls associated with the exposure to airborne asbestos fibres when working in environments where exposure may occur.
Course structure
The course is a theoretical session with a short summative assessment.
After you contact Wood Training, we will send you a confirmation email with a link to the course and a self-enrolment key. You will be prompted in the system to set up a profile, with information that we need for your enrolment.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course students will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of asbestos uses and health hazards.
- Describe the range of safety procedures to follow when asbestos is present.

None.
Assessment Process
The course consists of online learning modules that you work through at your own pace. At the very end of the course there is a quiz.
Certification
After successful completion of the online course, you will be issued with an electronic badge. Before we can issue you with a formal Asbestos Awareness Certificate, you will need to contact Wood Training with proof of identity.

- Access to a computer and stable internet.
- An email address.
Eligibility
Students eligible to study with Wood Training are:
- Permanent Residents,
- Australian Citizens, or
- Holders of work-visas who are required to undertake training by their employer.
